Recently I made my very first business trip as a NYC transplant. Admittedly, it is somewhat strange to depart from a New York-based airport after years of flying out of Washington. Strange but exciting!
One of the more exciting aspects of my role in PR with Marriott is my ability to support our hotels around the world as they prepare for their grand opening celebrations. In past year alone, I have worked on six grand openings from Miami, Florida to Sanya, China. A hotel's grand opening is always a once in a lifetime experience, where the true culture of our company really shines through in powerful fashion.
Over several days, my focus was on one of my very favorite areas of the world – the Middle East. This region holds a very special place in my heart due to the remarkable experiences I have had in destinations like Cairo, Dubai and Amman. This team is incredibly special to me, and I am thrilled to have opened an incredible complex of three hotels in Doha – The Renaissance, Courtyard, and Marriott Executive Apartments Doha City Center. I worked with the amazing team in Doha for several months leading up to their launch celebration and it has been extraordinary to see all of their hard work come to life.
Ironically, the Marriott Executive Apartments brand is a similar concept to our Marriott Execustay portfolio in the U.S. – except they offer hotel services along with their furnished apartments.
It is not often that I have the chance to experience the Marriott Executive Apartments product, which is highly regarded around the world for its world class locations, service and offerings. This project is especially timely given my experience the past few weeks working with Marriott Execustay here at The Chelsea.
Stay tuned …
